chapter 3

The second wave of civilizations during this time period were way more advanced to the other empires in the past. These civilizations should order and and hierarchy  and more leadership in these more dense communities. A great example is is the Persian empire stretching from Egypt all the way to india with around roughly 50 million people with different languages and even traditions and cultures. Another great empire in this time period was Greeks this major empire was broken and governed to small city states that were very powerful throughout this time period. I throughly enjoyed all of the acts and how different societies treated the people of their empires. It is also quite astonishing on how different these to large and very powerful empires were but yet so alike.

Chapter 2

The Emergence of Civilization Just like may previous blog civilization was happening all over the world around the same time period. With these new civilization hoping up was a new way of life for these nomadic food chasers. They finally able to congregate and move forward in becoming a more intelligent race. They could finally grow their own food and also herd their own domesticated animlas. So what helped the start of the civilizations? Agriculture stopped the nomadic tribes from following their foods and instead working on growing them theirselves. This chapter also explains some of the first civilizations such Xia Dynasty. The legendary monarch known as Wu was famous through out this time period made flood control projects that helped channel the water and stopped flooding the villages.
Chapter 1   This chapter is talking on the beginning of human beings and how we developed agriculture over time. The major break throughs on how to manage and accumulate different plants and animals amazes me! For instance the ancient mayan civilization with maize or corn how they started from being only two to three inches long to being almost a foot. This was one of the first genetic engineering to plant ever done before and it happened about 4000 b.c. Also I did not know how the Sahara dessert was fertile land thousands of years ago and was rich in soil and food for many tribes of people. The whole middle east was planished with livestock and a plethora of different plant and wild game for the many peoples choosing. Another major thing that got me the plants have rested by mostly females took up seventy percent of many tribes diets. Meaning that mens hunting only had thirty percent and really depended on women for the survival of their families.
