Chapter 8 was about the advances China was going through when Europe was going through the dark time or middle dark age period. China dealt with it all ad successful passed it with flying colors.

chapter10

Chapter 10 was all about the spread of Christendom and what major role it played an how it played in to different contents and different regions. The Roman empire on the largest empires ever tried to spread and almost force upon the people Christianity. Eventually the fall of Rome would happen and the Byzantine empire would happen and move from Rome to Constantinople and would be the new center of everything. The amazing thing about this chapter is how broad the religion spread everywhere and couldn't even try to stop it it spread like no other.

Chapter 7

Chapter 7 really brings the essence of trade around eurasia it shows how important and how key it was for the advances in technology by simply trading. The silk road played a major role for being one of the longest and most strategic way of trading in this time period and was a way for many different cultures could connect and trade thought this time.China had many powerful empires ever created and ruled throughout this time period or ever I should say. chapter 6

This one of my favorite chapters mean I really enjoyed all the material in this chapter mostly because I could further connect with my heritage from the early civilizations of Mesoamerica. Strayer goes on to talk about the biggest and most organized city in this time period happened in modern day Mexico known as Teotihuacán. This begun around 150 b.c.e and grew over 100,000 to 200,000 and stretched over a whopping 8 square miles. This was my favorite part of this chapter.

Chapter 5

Society and Inequality in Eurasia and north Africa was bad throughout this time period. Meaning their was definite line between poor and the elite all over the world and in different cultures. This did not give any opportunities for the poor to move up and do better for themselves and really did not help the societies progress at rapid pace like before. On great but very sick example was the Roman Empire and their slaves throughout most of Rome's power and reign they had slaves to help build and work for most of the elite. Sparta was another great example in order to keep their regime in line and keep slaves they used their military power. Known to be very deadly with a sword and shield this helped gain respect and conquered a lot of their various neighbors.

Chapter 4

The Chinese dynasty is known as one of the most sophisticated empires of its time. With men and women who beyond wise and people who impacted many different cultures along the way. It is quite amazing on how the dynasties from this tome period went about doing things. A perfect example one of the greatest philosophers to ever roam the earth Confucius. Confucius was known for trying to help fix chinas problems and often ran for political spots throughout his adult life. Chapter four is full of different religions and compares and contrasts how different and how alike the religions were throughout this time period.
